Herta Herrera Obituary
Herta Johanna Viktoria Herrera passed away on March 10, 2011 at St. Peter's hospital. She was born on August 23, 1922, to Johanna Droese in Jagolitz Abbau of what was then Germany. She became a German war bride on February 5, 1950 when she married Fred Herrera. Together they raised four children.
She loved to knit, cook and garden, and her special 'shicken and kasekucken' will be forever missed. She is survived by her daughters Rosa Kimmerly (Jim), Monica Jezek (Rob), Irene Goldenberger, and son Anthony Herrera; five grandchildren Matthew Kimmerly (Kim), Robert Jezek, Shawn Goldenberger, Caitlin Jezek, Sasha Goldenberger; sister Ingrid Hermann, brother Wolfgang Droese (Heidi), both of Germany, and several nephews and nieces.
A celebration of this remarkable woman's life will be held on Friday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at Mills & Mills Funeral Home,5725 Littlerock Road, Tumwater, WA.

Wir sollen nicht trauern, dass wir einen Toten verloren haben,
sondern dankbar dafür sein, dass wir sie gehabt haben, ja auch jetzt noch besitzen:
denn wer heimkehrt zum Herrn, bleibt in der Gemeinschaft der Gottesfamilie und ist nur vorausgegangen.

Euch allen, Rosi,Monika,Irene u. Toni, gilt unser tiefes Mitgefühl zum Tode eurer lieben Mutter.
Sie war eine liebenswerte und starke Frau,für Dorchen und mich die beste Cousine. Seit unserer Kindheit freuten wir uns schon immer auf das nächste Wiedersehen,wenn Tante Hannchen (eure Großmutter) mit Herta und Ingrid zu Besuch kamen. So blieben wir auch später - wenn auch in größeren Abständen - doch stets in Kontakt.
Eine liebe Erinnerung bleibt immer!

She was a lovable and strong woman,for Dorchen and me she was the best cousin.
Since our childhood,we were always fulfilled with pleasure of seeing each other again, when aunt Hannchen, your grandmother, came with Herta and Ingrid for a visit.
Over the years - with more or less big intervals - we hold contact to each other.
A memory full of love will always remain!
