John Townsend Obituary
Townsend
John David Townsend, 76, of Tenino, WA, passed away April 30, 2011, at St. Peter Hospital due to his long battle with Leukemia, with his beloved wife, Lynda, and his family by his side.
John was born May 12, 1935, in Seattle, WA, to William Townsend and Inez Buss. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Townsend, his mother Inez Morgan and stepfather Al Morgan of Coos Bay, OR, his brother Mike Dolan of Morgan Hill, CA, sons, David Townsend and wife Rhonda of Onalaska, WA, Donald Townsend and wife Kathy, grandsons Darin and Evan of Springfield, OR, Jim Townsend and wife Joy of Tenino, granddaughter Jenna and husband Jacob Hazelwood and great grandson Jethro of Tenino and granddaughter Jacque' Townsend, former sister-in-law Jessie Fox of Sublimity, OR, brothers-in-law Glen Johnson and wife Debbie, Rob Johnson and wife Cindy, and Randy Johnson, all of Tenino. John is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews and seven grand nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Scott Lake Community Center, 2631 114th Way SW, Olympia, WA. Lynda is requesting that donations be made to Robin Rudy at Tenino Food Bank or the American Cancer Society.
