Grandpa, I can only wish I could have spent more time with you, I treasure the memories of puzzles, football, car races and your beautiful flowers, anytime I see a beautiful Dahlia, I think of you. You were always there for me, and you always made me laugh. I love and miss you dearly.

Only by a fluke did I find this obituary and learn of John's passing, which I'm so sorry to see. However, I do believe he is happy and can join up with loved ones that passed before him. I have many many memories of John that span thru the years. He will be missed.

May God bless his family and comfort them during this time!
I had the opportunity to work with John at Weyerhaeuser and I can always remember John's laid back disposition. So layed back that he would take responsibility for something he did not do.
I will share a story with you when John first started reporting to me.
I was reviewing an old issue in regards to a mistake that was made on a Bill of Lading and noticed that John had signed off on the quavar as making the mistake. Upon further review it was found that John was not the one that made the mistake and when I told him he smiled and said, oh good you can take my name off of that quavar. I asked him why he had originally signed the quavar and he said, I don't remember, but I think I was told it was me. The lesson in life that I learned from John is to take one day at a time, if it's not going to make a difference in five years let it go and relax a little more.
