Pat & Michael, Your folks were back-up parents for Diane & me. One great memory of your Dad was when he danced with me at some McGuire function when I was about 13, a very ugly-duckling age. He was a real encouragement through my growing-up years. Here are some comments from my kids when they heard he was gone:
'He was a very cool person. People aren't really like that anymore." "Aw, very sad. He was such a fun, happy person to be around." "That is truly sad news. I have many memories of Mike, all of which are good and filled with smiles and laughs." So he is missed.

I met Mike when I worked for DNR. He had retired and returned for a short time. Loved talking with him and found out he was related to my in-laws. Mickey McGuire. DNR staff use to say he was a dying breed, he could look at something and tell you what was wrong without going thru each step.
