Lillian Kemph Obituary

Lillian Kemph

Lillian of Lynnwood, WA (formerly of Olympia) passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 following a short illness.
She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Lillian completed her AA degree and joined the Army Reserves as an X-ray Technician. It was there that she met her husband, Donald E. Kemph. The two were married in Seattle in 1956 and lived in Seattle where they had their six children. Later Donald's work took them to Olympia where they lived for 35 years.
Lillian was an active volunteer, working at Pregnancy Aid and St. Michael's Church. She enjoyed bowling, exercising, sewing, reading and gardening. She was a member of St. Brendan's Church in Bothell. She had a wonderful laugh and a great sense of humor.
Donald preceded Lillian in death in 2009.
She is survived by her six children: Martha (Gregg), Charles, Matt (Lisa), Larry, Donna (Philip), and Thomas (Carol); 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces: Sr. Jeannine Neumann and Margaret Harvey with whom she grew up; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lillian and Donald were blessed with many lifelong friendships that felt like family.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St Brendan's Church in Bothell.
Contributions can be made to St. Brendan's Church.
