Margaret Bracy Obituary

Peggy Bracy

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret "Peggy" Bracy announces her passing on March 30, 2011 at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center. Peggy was born on May 29, 1929 to Michael and Katherine (Healy) Kelleher in Santa Rosa, California. She graduated from Presentation High School in San Francisco, CA. She married Jack Bracy in 1948 and moved to Olympia, WA. They were together for 39 years until his death in 1987. Peggy's joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren, and throughout her life, she was an inspiration to her whole family. She enjoyed Irish music and working in her garden.
She is survived by her five children; daughters, Cathy Hamilton (Patrick), Linda Hitch, Deb Meneses (Hector); sons, Dan (Sandy) and Dennis (Karen); and eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Lesley, Devin, Jessica, Leilani, Claudia, Nora, May, Hannah Rose, Emily and Sarah Jane. She is also survived by her sisters, Nora Grubbs and Ann Fry (Richard).
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at St. Michael Catholic Church on 11th Ave and Boundary St. in Olympia. Father Jacob Maurer will officiate. Arrangements are with Mills and Mills Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 West Harrison St., North Tower Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98119.
"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face. And rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the small of His Hand."

Linda and Family,
I am sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I met her recently when she was one of my mom's "housemates" in Tumwater. Your mom was always smiling and would always say hello to me when I would visit my mom.
Heartfelt condolences,
Maria
