Margaret Hale Obituary

Margaret (Maggie) Hale

Margaret (Maggie) Hale passed away peacefully May 16th in Olympia, WA at the age of 86 years. She was born in Seattle and lived the majority of her life in Seattle and Olympia, along with 10 years in Southern Oregon. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Washington. In 1944, Margaret married Ron (Red) Hale with whom she raised three children, Sharon, Ron Jr., and Marcia. She was an accomplished musician playing the piano, organ, and violin. She loved to travel and garden. Most of her work experience was as a secretary in various educational institutions. Maggie was a devoted, gracious, and loving mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Her family gives thanks for the many wonderful years they shared with her.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Red Hale, and her daughter-in-law, Margie Hale. She is survived by her sister, Berta Baier; her beloved children, Sharon Heath, Ron Hale Jr., and Marci Zimmerman; her treasured grandchildren, Kristin Heath Murphy, Michael Heath, Brendan Heath and Silas Zimmerman; and her delightful great-grandchildren, Luke and Evan Murphy and Alex Zimmerman.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Washelli in Seattle, Washington, on Thursday, May 26 at 1:00 pm. Please visit www.washelli.com/obits for pictures and tributes. Remembrances may be given to Macular Degeneration Research at www.ahaf.org or to your favorite charity in Maggie's name.
