Marion Wall

Marion Wall, a longtime resident of Olympia passed away Sunday February 13, 2011. She was born June 4, 1937 to Dean and Prudence Halbert in Stockton, CA. She grew up in Chehalis and graduated from Chehalis High School in 1955. She worked 25 years in the Cashiers and Business offices of South Puget Sound Community College, where she retired from. Marion was active for several years in the Eagles Women's Auxiliary. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, taking walks, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
Marion is survived by a sister, June Young of Centralia, a daughter Cristi Smith and her husband David J. Rieland of Yelm, a son, Gordon Smith and his wife DaNae of Idaho Falls, ID, as well as seven grandchildren, David Rieland of Spanaway, Lisa Rieland of Yelm, Todd Smith of McDonough, Ga, Kali Martinez of Iwakani, Japan, Chase Smith of West Milford, New Jersey, Emily Smith of West Milford New Jersey, and Tommy Smith of Lawton, Ok.
Marion was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Donald K. Worland, and by two of her sons, Wesley and Steven Smith.
Services will be held at Mills & Mills funeral home, Friday morning, Feb 18, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.

Absolutely loved and admired Marion greatly. I worked with her since 1978 at the college, and she is one of our treasures. My condolences go her children and grandchildren, but please know many people at the college will Marion at reunions. Thank you.
