Nellie, known as Anne to family and friends, was born April 5, 1924 in Walla Walla, WA. She died April 21, 2011 in Lacey, WA. Anne, along with her five siblings Agnes, Edna, Roy, William and Lloydina, were raised and attended schools in Walla Walla, WA.
Anne was widowed from her husband, Earl West Smith after they moved to Olympia. Anne is survived by her daughter, Nancy Smith (John) Vlastelica. She has two grandchildren, John Vlastelica and Sarah Sigman and four great grandchildren. Anne has many nieces and nephews, most of whom are located in the Pacific Northwest. She worked at Providence St Peter Hospital for many years before she retired. Anne was an active member of the First United Methodist Church for 40 yrs.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The family requests donations be sent to The First United Methodist Church of Olympia.

We will remember Anne as a beautiful and gracious woman. We were recipients of her kindness and hospitality. She exuded love and patience. Our condolences to her family. She will be missed.
