"Slim" Neugen Kautz Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 9, 2011.
Slim is survived by his daughter Mariah Kautz, son Shane Kautz, granddaughter Kiona (Boo Boo) Kautz, his parents Georgianna (Porgie) and Nugie Kautz, sister Kimberly Kautz, brother Jason Vantien, Rachel Kelley, Ana Garcia, Tracy Kautz Smith, Michaela Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Slim was a devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, cousin and friend. His life revolved around commercial fishing, geoduck diving, basketball and baseball. Slim was known to be a mentor to many family and community members. He will be remembered as helpful, kind and slightly extreme.
A viewing will be held at Mills and Mills on Monday February 14, 2011 from 1:00p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Nisqually Tribal Gymnasium on Tuesday, February 15 at 10:00 a.m.

I remember when my brother and I were just little kids and we would go to his firework stand and he would give us sparklers to light and try and get people to stop in.

He was so kind and nice I will never forget him and may he Rest In Peace.
