Norman Dale Ostrander Norman (Norm) was born on June 9, 1927 in Riverdale, Kansas to Roy Mailon Ostrander and Aggie May (Bell). He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 24, 2012. Survived by sons, Troy Ostrander of Lacey, WA & Oral Ostrander of Springdale, WA; daughters, Tawnya Elrod of Olympia, WA & Gail Etter of Deer Park, WA; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Norm spent his early years wheat farming around Oxford, KS. He served in the Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He married Bertha Arlene Bliss and they moved to Olympia, WA where they raised their children. They celebrated 51 yrs of marriage until Bertha's passing in 2005. Norm retired after 25 yrs employment with the WA state Dept of Transportation. He enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting and traveling with his wife. Norm's parents, his sister, Jeane Wartick and brother, LeRoy Max Ostrander passed before him. Graveside interment service to be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11am at Woodlawn Cemetery, 5930 Mullen Rd SE Lacey, Wa. Reception following service at The South Bay Grange.
