Orville Miller Herr

Orville Miller Herr, 91, died April 29, 2011. He was a resident of Shelton for 21 years.
He was born February 16, 1920 in Gypsum, KS to Elmer Herr and Ethel (Ballantyne) Herr.
He graduated from Pateros High School in 1937 and from Pepperdine University, Osteopathic College of Medicine.
He married Ruby Lorene Galbraith on August 29, 1941 in Wenatchee.
He was a Bible teacher, anesthesiologist and osteopathic physician in Wenatchee, Yakima and Tieton.
He enjoyed being a children's summer camp director, sang tenor for the Apollo Club, was very active in gardening, tennis, swimming, snow and water skiing, and boating. He was a Boy Scout troop leader and raised horses in Wenatchee. He attended Shelton Four and Rivers of Grace church.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Herr of Shelton, sons Ronald Orville Herr of Albany, OR and Den-nis W. Herr of Olympia, daughter Melody Olels of Shelton and Dana A. Herr of Marysville, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Elmer Herr, brothers Marion, Clyde, Russell and Ernest Herr, and son Craig Herr.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 4 at the Colony Surf Clubhouse in Lilliwaup.
