Roberta Solomon

Roberta Rae (Pody) Solomon of Lacey, died June 6, 2011, after a brief illness. Roberta was born in Seattle on February 6, 1943, the daughter of Jerome Pody and Libby (Pearl) Pody. A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Seattle, she moved to Lacey in 1970.
Roberta is survived by her husband of 41 years, Paul Solomon of Lacey; daughter, Stacy (Solomon) Lappin, son-in-law Nathan Lappin, grandchildren, Raymond Joseph Lappin, Olivia Zoe Lappin, and Samuel Benjamin Lappin, of Puyallup; daughter, Paula Solomon Farber, son-in-law George Farber, granddaughter Shaina Pearl Farber of Federal Way; son, Jerry Solomon of Las Vegas; brother, Sandy Pody of Seattle; and many nieces and nephews.
Roberta was a truly caring and generous woman. She was well known among family and friends for her delicious baked goods. She loved her family and extended family dearly and delighted in being a devoted wife, wonderful Mom, and beloved Nana. Roberta will truly be missed by all those she loved and cared for, and by those who loved her.
Services will be graveside at Masonic Memorial Park in Tumwater on Thursday June 9, 2001, at 11:00 a.m., with a gathering immediately following at Temple Beth Hatfiloh in Olympia. The family requests donations be made to either St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Temple Beth Hatfiloh.
