Phillip J. Conway "GOOD OLE PHIL" 2-22-1926 - 12-01-2012 World War II Veteran. Phil joined the Navy at 17. He owned and operated Olympia Novelty Co. for 25 years. In the 1990's political signs on his old blue truck became a familiar sight. He collected thousands of signatures for Initiative 621 to control State spending which our legislators soon nullified. Phil was a people person. When Wool- worths closed, the "coffee club" followed him to the Red Bull and then to Fred Meyer. Phil is survived by twin sister, Phyllis Olmstead; his wife of 61 years, Yvonne; 4 children, Curtiss (Pilar), Lucinda (Earl Miller), Craig (Karen) Clayton James; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grand children, the Old Blue Truck and his Fred Meyer Friends. Friends and family are invited for the Celebration of Phil's life this Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at the Thurston County Fairgrounds at 1:00 p.m. Information: 360-701-2129
