Jeffrey Scott Martin Jeff, 50, of Olympia, WA, passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2012 while shopping for his loved ones. Jeff was born to Patricia Stewart and Dennis Lyerla on August 22, 1962 in Belleville, Illinois. Jeff spent his early childhood in Illinois, until his family moved to Washington State where Jeff graduated from Tumwater High School in 1981. After high school, Jeff worked as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Tumwater Fire Department. He then decided to serve his country by joining the Navy as a Sonar Tech in the Persian Gulf. Jeff was stationed at the Naval Weapons Station in Fallbrook, California, where he met and married Charlene Bradley, mother of his beautiful daughter, Amy Elizabeth Mary Martin. Along with Charlene's two other children, Nathan and Nicole Bradley, Jeff moved his family back to Washington and worked 16 years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Lacey Fire District 3, and worked for the State of Washington Department of Corrections as a Safety Officer. Jeff was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf and softball. He was also a huge Seahawks fan. Jeff spent one of his last days attending the Seahawks vs. 49ers game with his special love, Diane Fish, which he described as one of the best days of his life. He also loved to cook and took pleasure in barbequing for his friends and family. Jeff discovered another love, his Harley Davidson, which he rode with his buddies whenever he had the chance. Jeff was known for his clever one-liners and had the ability to lift people's spirits with his great sense of humor.
