Norman Raymond Alfors Sr. April 12, 1924 - April 15, 2013 Norman died surrounded by loved ones on April 15, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by brother George Alfors of Brooklyn, NY; his children, Susie Hall, Norma Christine Hill, Lynn Baker (Kurt), and Norman Alfors Jr.; grandchildren Monica Klavano (Jamey), Del Steven Bick, and Daniel Bick; as well as many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Norman served in the U.S. Navy throughout WWII and the Korean War. He continued his service in the U.S. Air Force throughout the Vietnam War, later retiring as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service. He then had a second career for twenty years with the U.S. Post Office. Norman has resided in the Olympia area since 1971.
