Sandra E. "Sandy" Jaster Sandra passed away on June 11, 2013 at home after battling a brain tumor. She was born to Robert and Esther Allen on September 19, 1939 in Millington, MI. Sandra graduated from Adelphian Academy and Andrews University in Michigan. Sandy greatly enjoyed the class reunion last fall before being diagnosed with the brain tumor. She taught home economics at Orangewood Academy for several years in Southern California and briefly in Longview. Washington. Sandra moved to Kelso, WA in 1968 and then moved to Olympia in 1975 where she lived in the family home with her husband until her passing. She worked in retail sales at several fabric stores in Olympia for a number of years. Sandy had a passion for sewing, baking, and gardening. She loved to put together special care packages with lots of goodies for nieces and other friends. She loved to share items from her garden with others and to share the flowers from her garden with her church friends. Sandra battled several serious forms of cancer since 1975. She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin. She is survived by her husband Lesley and by her brothers Charles Allen and Dale Allen and their wives Kaye and Brenda Allen along with a number of nieces and nephews and their children. A memorial service will be held at the Olympia Transformation Life Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 1717 Eskridge Boulevard SE, Olympia, WA 98501 on July 13, 2013 at 3 pm. Memorial donations may be made to benefit the Olympia Christian School through gifts to the Olympia SDA church.
