Desi Jones Obituary

BREMEN - Desi Anne Kathryn Jones, 15, of Bremen passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014. She was born on Sept. 28, 1999 to Robb and Amy (Koontz) Jones in Bremen.
Desi was a freshman at Bremen High School; she participated in band, cross country, track and Art Club. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Desi also participated in 4-H.
Surviving Desi are her parents, Robb and Amy Jones of Bremen; three sisters, Kami (Patrick) Gumz of Ulysses, Kan., Carlie Jones and Cori Jones of Bremen; one nephew, Parker; maternal grandparents, Bob and Nancy Koontz of Bremen, aunts and uncles; Rob (Tricia) Koontz of Munster, Jim, John (Peggy), and Joe Jones all of Bremen, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John Jones and Myrt Jones and an uncle, Rick Jones.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Pastors Roger Rohde and Neil Wonnacott will officiate.
A committal graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at the Bremen Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Bremen Band or Bremen Art Club.
Desi was well - Desi. She was one of those amazing, unique, and challenging rare squares in this round peg world. Her intellect and beauty put us all to shame. She was meant for more than just this world. God called her to take his hand and come home.
The Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.

I heard of Desi thru my husbands niece Julie Manns, and I am truly sorry and heartbroken for your loss of your beautiful child. Although I never met her,I can tell she was loved.

Desi was like one of my own daughters. She spend almost everyday and night this summer at my house with my kids. Even when it was just me and my husband here at home she would hang out for hours with us. She always used to make me laugh. I love you kid! To the family I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are to you!!!
