Dorothy Stroble Obituary

Dorothy Eleanor Stroble, 94, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Plainville, died Aug. 29, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1913, in Tarentum, Pa., to John and Florence (Elder) Miller. She received a bachelor of science degree from Carnegie Institute of Technology. She was extremely active with the Literary Guild in Plainville and a member of Plainville Congregational Church. She was a member of various card clubs where she enjoyed playing bridge.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Bill Beebee, of Acton, Mass.; son, John Stroble, of Xenia, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, K. Lawrence and Lynne Stroble, of Beavercreek, Ohio; grandchildren, Eve (Tom) Isenberg, Peter (Sandy) Beebee, Wes Beebee, David (Becca) Stroble, Andrew Stroble and Nathan Stroble; great-grandchildren, Joey and Beth Isenberg and Sam Beebee; nieces, Kathie Gensbigler and Terry (Charlie) Contant; great-nieces, Amber (Lorne) Kelley and Heather Contant; and great-great niece, Sloane Piper Kelley. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Andrew Stroble in 1984; grandson, Daniel Stroble in 1996; and sister and brother-in-law, Polly and Bill Gensbigler.
The funeral was held Sept. 5 at Mt. Zion Church, Xenia, Ohio, and her burial service was held Sept. 8 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pa. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion Church Building Fund, 428 Shepard Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385. The Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek, Ohio, was in charge of arrangements.
