WALLINGFORD - Lucille DeToro DiGennaro, 86, of Wallingford, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Anthony L. DiGennaro of 64 years.

She was born in Middletown, Feb. 25, 1926, the daughter of the late James and Nell Pillarella DeToro. After raising her children she worked at Transformer Technology for several years. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church and a member of the Columbiettes. The most important thing in Mrs. DiGennaro's life was her family who she expressed unmatched love to every day of her life.

In addition to her husband Anthony, she is survived by her children, Donna Iannuzzi and her husband, Carmen, of Wallingford and Louis DiGennaro and his wife, Debbie, of Meriden; her grandchildren, Jaime Szyszka and her husband, Mark, of North Haven, Jennifer Iannuzzi, of North Haven, Allison Iannuzzi, of Wallingford, Anthony DiGennaro, of Meriden and Lauren DiGennaro, of Meriden; her great-grandchildren, Ava and Tyler Szyszka; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her godson, Kevin Devaney; and Kate Bartelmo who was like a fifth grandchild to her. She was predeceased by her three brothers, James, Michael and John DeToro.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 23 from 4 until 7 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Funeral services will be held Tuesday directly at Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
