MAICHIN, Alois
September 11, 1928 - June 17, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alois Maichin at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife Elfie of 56 years; children: Evelyn (Graham, deceased), Ronald, Christopher (Rebeca), Gordon (Cindy); grandchildren: Chelsea, Alexander, Christina, Raymond, Spencer, Maxwell, Madison; and many nieces and nephews. He is lovingly remembered by his six sisters: Irma, Hilde, Maria, Erna, Herta, Erica, and their families. Alois was employed with Air Canada for 30 years. In his early years he was an avid Outdoorsman (hunting and fishing). Among his many talents and interests he was a man of all trades and there was nothing he couldn't do. Prayers will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church on 12011 Woodhead Road in Richmond on Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Friday, June 22 at 10 a.m. Interment following the mass at Ocean View Burial Park.
