Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Nov. 15, 2012.

MISCOVITCH, Nellie (nee Adamski)
After a brief battle with cancer, the matriarch of our family passed away in Burnaby General Hospital on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, a month after her 95th Birthday. Nellie was born in Fernie, B.C. the first of 3 children to John and Mary Adamski. She was predeceased in 1999 by her husband of 63 years, John, and by son Kenneth in 1966 and also her brothers John and Vince. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob (Linda), their children Colleen, and Ken, and Ken's children Ty and Eve; and her daughter Elaine (Mike) and their children Deborah and Chris (Bianca). She is also survived by nieces and a nephews. Nellie & John were married in 1936 and lived in Boston Bar, B.C. for over 50 years. There Mom was active in the Catholic Women's League, Community Association and Ladies Birthday Club. She was well-known for her generous hospitality, her large garden, delicious cooking, baking and canning and for her beautiful knitting projects. Her four grandchildren will always have fond memories of summer holidays spent in Grandpa & Grandma's big yard in Boston Bar. Mom and Dad moved next to Chilliwack, B.C. and more recently Mom moved to Burnaby, B.C. Mass is to be celebrated on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, B.C. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Dania Manor and Burnaby General Hospital for the wonderful care Mom received over the years. If friends so desire, donations may be made to B.C. Cancer Agency or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. "We were blessed to have you so long." Dear Bob, Linda, Elaine, Mike and Families. Very sorry to learn of your mom's passing. A great lady and host. Your mom always had time for a visit and a meal when we would travel through Boston Bar. The best sauerkraut after the grandparents. Your mom was the last connection to my mom and I see you mom every day as I have the picture of their 1st communion on my dresser. I will miss her.

Please accept our deepest condolances.
