ELIZABETH MARY MONTAGUE

ELIZABETH MARY MONTAGUE November 27, 1920 - December 30, 2012 MONTAGUE - Elizabeth Mary (née Mooney) - born November 27, 1920 at Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, died peacefully at Richmond, B.C. on December 30, 2012 at the age of 92, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Desmond Montague of St. John, N.B., her darling daughters Martha Joan and Laura Ann, her parents Dr. Bernard Mooney and Elizabeth Mooney (née Ouellette), her 13 brothers and sisters: Sr. Margaret (Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph), Marie, Bernard, Edward, Alma, Sr. Martha (Sisters of the Precious Blood), Laura, Fred, Theresa, Frank, Loretta, Patricia, Sr. Elizabeth Anne Bolduc (Sisters of the Precious Blood) and grandson Jesse. She will be greatly missed by her surviving children and their spouses and partners Margaret (Allan), Frank, Desmond (Veera), Elizabeth (Davy), Peter (Anne-Marie), Paul, Marian (Rob), Joseph (Barbara), William (Andrea), Edward (Deborah), and John (Monica), her brother-in-law Fr. Hugh (Joe) Montague (Order of Cistercians), 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, innumerable nephews, nieces, in-laws, and other relatives, and many dear friends. Elizabeth will be remembered for her beautiful and indomitable spirit, her strength of faith, and her love of family and the simple pleasures of life. Prayers for Elizabeth will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday January 8, 2013 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 8251 St. Alban's Road, Richmond, B.C. with funeral service to follow on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond Food Bank Society, 100 - 5800 Cedarbridge Way, Richmond B.C. V6X 2A7, or to the Missionaries of Charity, 385 East Cordova Street, Vancouver B.C. V6A 1LY.
