Frank DAGG

Dagg, Frank Wilfred
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Dagg. Born on December 30, 1932, Frank passed away peacefully with his family by his side on the afternoon of February 2, 2013. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Beverley; Sons Jerry (Michelle), Frank, Glenn (Leanne) and Dan (Tana). He also leaves his best friend and Brother Ed (Evelyn) and sister Minnie; Grandchildren; Jeremy (Debbie), Shannon, Matthew (Tamara), Christopher, Jennifer, Jordan and Kimberley. Frank also leaves his great-grandchildren Nathan & Jacob (Jeremy) and Madison (Matthew) as well as close nephew Bill and other nieces and nephews.
Frank Served honorably in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 in the PPCLI before coming to Vancouver to find his wife Beverley. Frank and Bev settled in Port Coquitlam in 1963 to begin to raise their family.
Frank was actively involved in minor hockey in the 70's and coached many a winning team to championship trophies. His devotion to the sport has left memories in all that played for him behind the bench. Always passionate about the sport, Frank and Bev were recognized in 1977 for their long serving commitment to minor hockey by getting the keys to the city of Port Coquitlam.
An avid outdoorsman, Frank was passionate about hunting and fishing; and many a story was told around a "good fire" at the end of the day. His 3rd son Glenn became his hunting and fishing partner for many years, travelling to far-away places in search of the next great story.
We will miss his quiet love for conversation, his love for people and the many stories he had to tell about a long and full life. We love you Dad, Uncle, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. You will live on in our memories until we meet again.
The family would like to thank the great staff of Ridge Meadows Hospital ICU unit for their care and compassion during this difficult time. We were truly blessed to have you watching over him.
There will be no service by request and in lieu of flowers; donations can be made to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation. Offers of Condolences can be left on remembering.ca
