James "Jim" BROWN

BROWN, James Edward (Jim)
April 6, 1943 - November 30, 2012
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our father Jim Brown. Jim had an amazing spirit and was a great supporter of the Abbotsford Community. He created and was the proprietor of Alpha Imaging, a successful printing company where clients became friends. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife, Sharon Brown (nee: Poyntz 1999); his mother, Ann Barnard (nee: Platnick 2008); brother, Randy Barnard (August 2012); father, James Albert Brown (November 2012). Jim is survived by his sisters, Alva Popowich (Halifax), Lois Kearney (Winnipeg), Shirley Hyslop (Saltair) and Heather Grant (Kenora); his five children, Kevin Brown of Aldergrove (Brenda), James D.J. Brown of Coquitlam, Traci de Pape of Prince George (Jeff), Tania de Pape of Langley (Glenn); Lynn MacKinnon of Maple Ridge (Mike); his 9 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, who all lovingly referred to him as "Grumpy"; many nieces and nephews, along with numerous friends and extended family. Jim was loved by all who met him and he will leave a huge void in our lives. His memories, smile and humor will linger on. We love you! By request immediate cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences can be sent to jim@alphaposters.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The Salvation Army. Tributes and condolences may be left at www.hendersonsabbotsfordfunerals.com .
