Mom was born on Bute Street in the West End on July 18, 1911. She lived in, and loved, Vancouver all of her life. She passed away on November 7, 2012 as a result of a stroke. She is survived by her son, Gordon and predeceased by her husband, Campbell, by her brother Crandall (Tip) Tipping, and by her mother, Eline. Mom had a very full life - full of love, full of laughter, and full of friends. She did not wish a funeral, probably because she couldn't be there herself. If you wish, please send a donation to the SPCA in honour of Chloe, Mickey, Leroy, Brittany and Buddi (her canine friends). She had many friends, both old and young, and loved them all. Here's to you, Mom, from all of us. We'll miss you…
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey that we must all take,
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan;
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely, and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss me - but let me go
Skol, and love to all... Jo
