Lance ROSE

ROSE, Lance Ashley
1939 - 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lance Rose of Kamloops, B.C. on December 31, 2012 at the age of 73. Lance is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Rose and four children, Jerry (Sharon), Frank (Tami), Tom (Cindy), Debbie, seven grandchildren Jenna, Katie, Ryan, Kyle, Mitchell, Brianna and Tierra and his beloved dog, Dusty. Lance is predeceased by his mom, Irene Rose, dad, Garnet Rose and brothers Blake and Rod. Lance was born in McLennan, Alberta on March 28, 1939. He moved to Bralorne, B.C. around 1944 where he worked in the mining industry. Lance married Sylvia Walker in 1959. Unfortunately in 1965 he lost his two brothers in the Granduc slide. Lance moved to Surrey, B.C. in 1966 and was employed by Canadian Mine Services for approximately 15 years. In 1990 he moved to Kamloops, B.C. and worked for Tonto Mining. After retiring, Lance enjoyed fishing during the summer and winter months at Knouff Lake and Campbell Lake. During his last years he especially enjoyed his morning coffee with his buddies Jerry, Doug, Wayne, Steve, JJ and Mitch. There will be no service at Lance's request. Donations made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice in Kamloops, in Lance's memory, are greatly appreciated.
