McDONALD, Margaret Dorthea (Marx)
Mom passed away peacefully Nov 19th. in her 92nd year. Born in Saskatchewan in 1920, Marg was raised in rural Alberta and was proud that she was a " farmgirl " and that riding a horse to school in Huxley was normal. Marg met her husband, Alex, in High River when Alex was in the R.C.A.F. and Marg was driving an oil truck. After the war and the birth of their first son, they moved to the Lower Mainland, where Marg remained for the rest of her life. Aside from being a wonderful mother to 3 boys, Marg had a career as a model in Vancouver. Predeceased by her husband Alex, son's Gordon, Richard and daughter-in-law, Sandra, sister Marcella and brother Carl. Survived by son Larry and grandchildren Azsa, Michelle (Kevin), Josh (Jennifer), Travis (Jennifer), Tyler, Willie (Danielle), Tara (Kevin). 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, Daughter- in-law's, Darlene, Jennifer and Leny. Marg is also survived by Harry Hardy who for the past few years was her constant companion and she loved feeding the birds in Harry's aviary, going to the Legion on Thursdays and being followed by "Milo", Harry's pug. Marg never forgot her Alberta family and will be greatly missed by all of her nieces and nephews whom she remained so close to all of her life. Marg was a wonderful wife, mother and a great friend to all who knew her. She touched so many people in her life and will be greatly missed. There will be a " Celebration of Life " in Dec. and details will be announced in the near future.
