Nora KULCHYSKI Obituary
Nora Lillian Lundeby Kulchyski, born December 27, 1920 peacefully passed away January 5, 2013. Nora was the oldest of four sisters Irene (Peterson), Gladys (Yurechuk) and Hazel (Rilling), and was called upon to contribute support to her family from a young age. Nora had a meaningful life over 92 years. From her days on the farm in Alberta to raising her daughters Diane (Larry Godin), Deb (Ken Zaharko), Darlene (Knudson) and Della (Stuart McLaughlin), mostly singlehandedly in Edmonton. Nora was a formidable woman yet soft and caring and dedicated to make the best for her family. She was a woman of strength and character, did not suffer fools gladly but showered those who deserved it with affection. Much loved, she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Michelle (Patrick Scorer), Jana (Zaharko), Jacqueline (Kevin Clark), Devon (Knudson), Silver and Storm (McLaughlin) and her great- grandchildren Zach and Hannah (Scorer). Nora's physical body may have let her down but her indomitable spirit lives on. The family would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen House including Jeanette and Eva and her friend Joan for their loving care and support. As well thanks to Dr. Maryam Zeineddin for all of her dedication. A Memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis In The Wood Anglican Church, 4773 Piccadilly South Rd., West Vancouver, BC. Reception to follow. No flowers please. In lieu, donations are gladly accepted to the Nora Kulchyski Evergreen Fund care of the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation at https://www.lghfoundation.com/tribute/tribute-webpage.aspx?tid=80

Dear, Diane,Debbie,Darlene,Della and family
We were all so saddened by the loss of Aunt Nora. I remember many happy times spent with her and all of you girls. My daughter Tracie and her family in Westlock, AB., and my son Marc and his family in Terrace, BC, also express their condolences. Please keep in touch and God be with you and your family during this sad time.

My deepest sympathy. Mabel (Hall) Walker grew up the Lundeby girls. Nora sometimes came to our house in Edmonton. Her girls once came camping with us at Czar (Shorncliff) Lake. Mabel passed away in 1973. I myself went to high school with Hal Peterson.
