Irene LANGSTON Obituary
Irene Eleanor Langston aged 61 years, late of Richmond BC, passed away peacefully at Richmond Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Irene worked at UBC for over 40 years and truly loved working with her many friends at UBC and VGH. She loved going to Bowen and seeing her many friends. Survived by her sisters Linda and Kathy and brother-n-law Gary, nephews Steve (Amy) and Jamie, niece Nicole and great niecesTifa and Lily. Auntie Irene, Nadyne, Lonnie and many cousins. Thanks to everyone for all the love and support. She will be forever in our hearts. No service by request.

I was shocked and sadden to hear of Renee's passing. Have very fond memories of our carpooling into UBC and our trip to Hawaii.. She'll forever be in my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family...

Irene was the most wonderful work colleague, You knew you were in the best and very capable hands with her - she helped so many people to resolve so many issues to bring them comfort. Irene was a gentle person; an inspiration model of someone who could be successful and still be so very kind. I remember her with joy.

To Kathy & Gary,
I was so sad to hear of Irene's passing. I worked with her for 25 years. She should have had many many more years of retirement. I have very fond memories of the years we had lunch together in the UBC Hospital cafeteria. I am so sorry for your loss.You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so sorry to learn of Irene's passing - I very much enjoyed working with her in the Faculty of Medicine. It is so tragic that she passed away at such a young age and enjoyed so little of her well-earned retirement.
