MILLER, Anthony
April 21, 1930 - November 2, 2012
Tony passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospice, surrounded by the love of family. Tony is survived by his wife of 58 years Helen, sons Stephen (Denise) and Gerald (Melissa), and daughter Clare (Will), his grandchildren, Ian, Clare, Liam, Brendan and Michaela, along with great-granddaughter, Mayson. Tony was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved his family to Canada in 1966, first settling in Powell River, BC and then moving to Surrey, BC in 1977. Tony was an electrician who worked in the mill in Powell River and later with the B.C. Highways Department when he relocated to the lower mainland. Tony's passion for life shined brightest when around people. His pastimes included soccer, coaching many teams throughout the lower mainland; singing, which included in the church choir at Our Lady of Good Counsel; and his beloved golf game as a member of The Fort Langley Golf Club. Services will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Surrey, B.C. at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 9. Rest in peace, Dad, you are forever in our prayers and in our thoughts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of BC or the Langley Hospice Society. Online condolences can be made at
