A wonderful man and football coach who, along with some other ex-B.C. Lions, gave back to amateur football by coaching the Vancouver Meralomas Junior Football teams for free in the early 1970's leading them to many B.C. championships and one Western Canadian Championship. A gentleman and good man, he was a mentor to many of us. Forever grateful Coach Bill!

Bill was my highschool sweetheart, but unfortunately he was more interested in football than he was in me! When I was about 15, I bought tickets to a B.C. Lion's football game and told Bill that my aunt had given them to me -- and so I had my much-longed-for date. Later in life, I reconnected with Bill and our other highschool buddies. He was a kind, lovely man (in addition to being a "hunk") and did not deserve to suffer from Parkinson's Disease the way he did. The East End gang will miss him terribly. God bless Barb for her unstinting care and love.
