I worked with Cathy for nearly nine years. She was a wonderful person whose door was always open. She will always be remembered.

I worked closely with Cathy at Golder Associates on delivering project management training through the Golder's training program. She was passionate and committed to her work and held herself and others to a high standard. She poured energy, enthusiasm and time into the program and told me she always got nervous before presenting to a crowd. It never showed. She consistently received high praise from participants for her delivery, professionalism and mentorship. I was so very sorry to her of her passing and offer my sincere condolences to her family and friends.

What a great loss. Cathy was a very special person, and all of us who lucky enough to know her, will miss her. She was very brave, funny, intelligent and a great boater!

My sincerest condolences to Cathy Anne's family. I knew her as a toddler (in Lund, Sweden) and will always remember her as an adorable, cheerful little person. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. I send love to all of you.

This is a huge loss for all of us who knew Cathy. Even though I knew she was unwell, and had heard about her passing several weeks ago, I still feel a huge loss. I would like to extend my condolences to Cathy's family. Cathy was a wonderfully kind, caring and competent woman, with a friendly smile and an open heart. She invested so much of herself in everything she did, both personally and professionally. I echo the comments of my colleague, Rick Scroggins, regarding the impact that Cathy had in the field of environmental toxicology in Canada and her pursuit of high-quality environmental data. She was a consumate scientist and practitioner who had a positive impact on all who worked with her; she challenged us all to excel. She had great integrity, and it was always a pleasure being in her company. I must admit that I hadn't seen her in quite a while when she left us, but I still have fond memories of my times with her. Cathy, you've left behind a large void, and you will be missed.

I loved spending time with Cathy many years ago at RVYC. An enthusiastic sailor, and great fun to be around. Sad news. My condolences to the family.

Dear Catherine, Duncan, Margaret, Ian, Hugh and Family,
I was so sorry to hear the news about Cathy from my Mom.
I ran into her a few years ago at the RVYC and we had a quick catch up and laughed about our days of Sunday School and Skating etc.
Our thoughts and Prayers go out to you all.

I have worked with Cathy for over 10 years and I will miss her positive attitude and friendship the most. I can only hope that if I am ever in the same situation as Cathy that I face it with the same dignity and bravery that she did. My heartfelt condolences to the McPherson family.

I worked with Cathy at EVS in North Vancouver and she kind of intimidated me with her forthright manner! :) But she had a soft heart - when I was pregnant with my daughter, Cathy knit her this beautiful sweater and pants outfit in pink wool and the front of the sweater had this lovely navy & white argyle pattern. All the stitches were perfect & uniform. She so surprised me with that lovely gift! Cathy also came to visit me at the hospital after my daughter was born - another unexpected and lovely gesture. My daughter is almost 15 now but I still have that little hand-knit suit and I treasure it. RIP Cathy McPherson

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Cathy. I have known Cathy for almost 25 years. Cathy was a strong supporter of test laboratory quality systems and supported strong national testing methods, which is what I do for a living at Environment Canada. She was a great person who was not shy to set us straight on what will work in a national biological testing method. Cathy and I were auditors in the early days of the national laboratory accreditation program for Canada. I will miss her critical feedback that lead to improvements in Canadian environmental testing methods. Cathy's family should know that she had a major impact on Canadian environmental regulations. She will be missed. Regards, Rick Scroggins, Environment Canada

I enjoyed many laughs and spending time with Cathy during our years at Eric Hamber Secondary managing one of our basketball teams. My sincere condolences to the McPherson family. My thoughts are with you at this most difficult time.
