CUNNINGTON, Christopher Michael
March 23, 2018 – in his 42nd year. Chris left this world for parts unknown, hoping to meet up with his Gran and Gramps. He was devastated by a stroke in March 2016, and never fully recovered. Chris will be sorely missed by his loving family; his Parents Daryl and Donna, Brother Rick (Jeannine), and Uncle Dave. He was also very fond of his two special Nephews, Andrew and Mitchell. He was surrounded with friends with whom he spent some very memorable moments. Chris graduated from: David Oppenheimer Elementary, David Thompson Secondary, and BCIT Journalism School. His successful career included time with CKWX, CKVU, and CTV. He learned his early values by attending Scouting organization activities. Chris was involved with community sports: with Killarney soccer, including a Vancouver Rep team that played in Japan; and football, with Renfrew Trojans. He was also a big fan of the BC Lions, being in attendance for two Grey Cup's, in 1994 and 2011. He was also a big fan of the NFL Minnesota Vikings. Chris, after working at Nike's, became a life long collector of Nike running shoes. He was very fond of music, especially Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams; and he attended many concerts with his friends, and had a major collection of music CDs. Donations can be made to the Charity of your choice, if so desired. No Service by request.
