KAVANAGH, George Robert
December 1, 1939 - October 17, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of George Robert Kavanagh, beloved husband, father and grandfather. George is survived by his wife, Irene, his son, Ken (Rebecca) and daughter Karen (Patrick), his five grandchildren, Claire, Neil, Aiden, Olive, and Elias, his two brothers, Frank (Anne), Joe, niece Kristina and nephews Steven and Patrick. George was born and raised in Toronto, the second eldest of four brothers. He came to Vancouver in 1963 where he met his future bride, Irene and married her in 1964. Ever since that day, their life was lived as one. George and Irene were entrepreneurs. Amongst their many business ventures, were Kavanagh Delivery Systems, Kavanagh Foods and Kavanagh Limousine. His wonderful sense of humour drew people to him like a magnet. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. A tribute to George's life will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion #133, 2675 Shaughnessy Street (enter at Rear), Port Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
