I had the privilege to work for and with Glen at Canfor when he took on the challenge of obtaining TFL 48 for Chetwynd. I enjoyed his beautiful gardens and my garden has many well established plants that Glen gave me to start my garden.
He was a true renaissance man who had a life well lived.

Dear Dennis, Bruce, Sheila and families,I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved dad, Glen. I remember him as a very bright, smiling, intelligent and extremely friendly man.I knew him in Woss, when I was a child.Later in Vancouver I saw him several times and was always impressed by how interested he was in everyone and everything. My parents Gus and Joan Bavis considered him a good friend. They spoke fondly of him often, about his trips and gardening. I still have a plant that grew from a small leaf of a cactus that he gave me when Dad, Mum and I visited him in West Vancouver. May he rest in peace, Donna [Bavis] Salikin.I would love to hear from any of you, Dennis, who knew more long words at 6 years of age than I know at 71, Bruce, who was quieter or Sheila, who was a baby who was named, I think, after my good friend, Sheila Munson.
