Herb passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at

VGH, age 74. Herb was born in Blue Ridge, AB & lived most of his life in Kimberley, B.C. He was a retired Steam Engineer of 33 years at the Crestbrook/Tembec Pulp Mill.

Herb will be remembered by his family & friends as a kind, gentle & generous soul, his loss will be felt by all those his life touched with his music & compassion.

Herb is survived by his loving companion Melanie Wilson, daughter Kim (Brent) McLean, son

Alex (Marliss) Neufeld, daughter Shelley (Zander) MacKenzie, step-daughter Connie Kermeen & step-son Wayne ( Kermeen, brothers Jake (Cecile), Walter (Marg), George (Arlene) & numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews & extended family & friends. Pre-deceased by Hank (Eve) Neufeld, Barbara (Dickey) and Doreen (Kermeen)

A celebration of life will be held at the Kimberley Elks Hall on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 4:00 pm.

We would like to thank the doctors & staff at the VGH Wards 5A & 6A for taking exceptional care of our father.

In lieu of flowers, the Neufeld family would welcome any memorial tributes to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart & Stroke Association.

Thank you for all your thoughtful condolences.

My Uncle Herb was a very kind and positive Person. I had some good times in Kimberley when i went to visit him and my cousins.
He will be missed.
