SHRIMPTON, Janet Walls
Janet (Jen) died peacefully after a long and active life on February 10, 2013 in Abbotsford, BC. Janet was born on December 23, 1913 in Broxburn, Scotland and immigrated with her family to Fillmore, Saskatchewan during the depression. She met and married her best friend and long-time companion, Ronald Shrimpton, after moving to Vancouver, BC. They spent many enjoyable years together camping and fishing. She had a great sense of humour, an adventuresome spirit, and a feisty personality! She was sadly predeceased by husband Ronald, her parents, twin sister Agnes, sister Jean Coughman, and brothers Ken, Dave, Jim, and Tom Young. She is survived by her brother John Young of Vanderhoof, BC, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends Corey, Aria and Margaret.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Menno Hospital (section E1) in Abbotsford for the great care and love she received during her final years. We appreciate all you did to make life easier for Jen and us.
