OSBORNE, Joseph Harry
Joe died peacefully and surrounded with love at the Irene Thomas Hospice in Ladner, B.C., at 86 years of age. Joe is survived by his loving wife Helen. He was predeceased by his beloved son Wayne and leaves behind the family he adored: son Allan (Debbie), granddaughters Katie and Danielle; daughter Beverly (Stefan), grandchildren Jenna, Connor and Kristen; step-daughter Gael (Jim), grandchildren Aleta and Tyler. Joe was an exemplary model of a gentleman in an age where there are too few. He lived his life finding the best in people, never judging, swift to forgive and loyal to his family. His many nieces and nephews simply think the world of their "Uncle Joe." He gave of himself and his home; never questioned whether he should, he just did. Joe lived a truly Christian life. In retirement, Joe was a tireless volunteer at Gleaners Food Bank and, along with Helen, volunteered at many charity events wherever they were needed most. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission, 601 East Hastings St., Vancouver, BC V6A 1J7. A Memorial Service will be held at White Rock Baptist Church, 1657 - 140th Street, Surrey, BC at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 with reception to follow
