BELL, Kenneth Harry
March 20, 1939 - November 7, 2012
With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ken Bell. We have lost a good man, whose laughter was as resonant as his spirit, both of which he shared generously and often. A devoted husband and father, Ken is survived by his wife of fifty-one years Darrell, son Geoff, daughter-in-law Angie, and brother Jack. Ken was born in Vancouver to parents Harry and Annie, where he attended Gladstone Secondary. As a young man, he went to Edmonton to work for Dominion Construction. There he found the love of his life, Darrell. A chance meeting among friends, became a lifelong adventure for the both of them. But he missed Vancouver. So, in 1972, he brought his wife and son back to the city he loved, and spent the rest of his career at David Nairne and Associates in North Vancouver. When Ken and Darrell retired to Parksville, he kept active in several community groups. Ken was a big-hearted man who touched many lives, across the country, and around the world. He will be missed by not only his family and many friends, but also clients and former colleagues. A big thanks to family and friends who helped Ken and Darrell during the last few months.
Forever in our hearts - we love you.
