DUMORE, Lawrence (Larry) Robert
He passed away peacefully at home in his 78th year on November 8, 2012 in Port Moody BC with his family by his side. Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years Sheila, children Cheryl Taylor (Randy), Glenn (Dana), Darlene, Trevor (Kim) and grandchildren Megan, Brenden, Sydney, Carson and Madison. Sisters Vivian and Beverly (Alex), brother Hugh (Marge) and many beloved nieces and nephews. Larry was a proud Ironworker member of Local 97 and left a legacy of many structures, bridges and buildings throughout BC. He also belonged to Port Moody Legion Branch #119. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family & nature, his calm, quiet demeanor, and ability to create and fix anything in the garage. He loved watching the Canada geese fly in formation past his window and was able to enjoy their daily flights up until the end. Larry had no regrets and was grateful for the wonderful life he lived and the many travel adventures, especially those with the "six-pack" - Mar & Tom, Dave & Les and Lar & She. Larry will live on in the hearts of family and all those whose lives he touched during his full life. The family thanks the medical team who helped Larry in his journey. Dr Hayes, Dr Malhotra, Dr Lee, the wonderful support from the Tri-Cities Health Palliative team, We Care and Worksafe BC. There will be no service as per Larry's wishes. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or The Alzheimer's Society of BC.
