DARTNELL, Marion Waldron
Unexpectedly passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and was reunited with her beloved Ernie on Thursday, December 6, 2012. While in fragile health for many years, Marion was feeling well and looking forward to spending Christmas with her family. She will be greatly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Loren Cleven, Adele and Niles Spiro and Marion-Ruth and Dan MacKay; seven grandchildren, Coleen (Matthew) Turner, Kathryn Cleven, Jay (Sarah), Scott (Brie) and Marie Spiro, and Cameron and Marion "Marnie" MacKay; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Milli; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Reg and Doreen Dartnell and Bert and June Dartnell as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years in 2007. Marion was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to David and Jean Bell and lived there until 1963 when she and Ernie moved their family to North Vancouver. She shaped all of our lives with her faith in God, her commitment to her husband, especially during the last hard years of his life, her unconditional love for her family and her generosity, hospitality and kindness to everyone she met. Many thanks to Dr. Peter Richards for his friendship and care of Marion over the past 33 years. A family burial has taken place and a Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Hillside Baptist Church, 870 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Young Life Canada/Scott Spiro; Daybreak Point Bible Camp; or The Gideons/Canada.
