Born and educated in Manchester, England and then worked in Australia before returning home by cruise ship. Came to Canada in 1966 and lived in West Vancouver and North Vancouver. Enjoyed many vocations from teaching, lab technician in hospitals and schools, shoe stores, banking, and gardening projects. Activities over the years - hiking and climbing in England, to swimming, tennis and her 30-year love of skiing and even in deep powder! Skiing is where she met her husband Ross, and they traveled by motor-home from BC to Newfoundland; Alaska to Mexico to see North America. They also took trips to Australia, England, EU, and cruise trips to Alaska, Hawaii and around South America. From these many trips. Meyga shared her generous nature bringing joy to others through singing, telling jokes and relating the verses or "Albert and the Lion". Confident and capable in any situation as she shared her love of life. In her own words. Meyga "sleptaway" with her dearest husband Ross at her side. She shared her smile, and sense of humour, with many as she sang along with those wandering troubadors 'The Londoners' of West Vancouver. She was always a Lancashire Lass, so have a "luvly cup o' tea, sit and listen to music and remember her". There will be a celebration of life at 543 East 4th Street, North Vancouver from 2 to 5 P.M. on Saturday June 16. Tea will be served.
