Peter Thodos Obituary

November 11, 1927 - December 25, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and papou. After a lengthy battle with heart disease, Peter passed away peacefully on Christmas day, and is survived by his wife Marjorie, children Mike, Matt (Rita), Tia (John), grandchildren Taylor, Ashlyn, Sierra, Dayton, Adam and many family and friends. One of Peter's most cherished moments was scoring the winning touchdown in the 1948 Greycup for the Calgary Stampeders, but most important to him was the love he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever. To his many friends - he loved you all. As per Peter's request there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to JDRF Canada at 604-320-1937.

Marjorie, Mike, Matt and Tia - it is with a heavy heart that I write you this note today as I read the article in our Calgary Herald about this wonderful man whom we "the Burland" family have many fond memories of. Our deepest sympathies to you all. We will cherish forever our Shuswap memories of Pete, his great laugh, his fantastic smile, his wonderful sense of humor, and his warm and gracious heart.
