GILLINGHAM, Reginald "Reg" Pearce
A devoted, loving husband and cherished father and grandfather. Reginald Gillingham, a World War II veteran, entered into rest on Father's Day, June 16, 2013. Reg is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ethel; children, Bryan (Susanna), Robert, Susan (John), Keith (Lisa); grandchildren, Greg, Sara, Michael, Andrew, Rebecca, Gwendolyn, Miranda, Jeremy; and four great-grandchildren. Reg was predeceased by 2 brothers, Clif and Bill. Married to Ethel in 1943, they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. As a top notch musician and Euphonium soloist, he was a founding member of the West Vancouver Concert Band. A community- spirited man, Reg was also honoured as a 50 year member of the Kiwanis Club. The church was his mainstay and source of faith. His sense of fun and humour will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Avenue, West Vancouver, BC on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
