September 13, 1940 - July 15, 2012 Passed away peacefully July 15 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob will be loved forever and dear in the hearts of his loving family. Survived my is wife, Karen, daughter, Kris (Chris) Dowden, son, Michael Kirby and 2 adoring grandsons; Mitchell and Jacob, sister, Susan (Peter) Morgan, sister-in-law, Joan Davies, niece, Cheryl (Allan) Milton and nephew, Rann (Monica) Mark. Bob taught English in Burnaby for the duration of his teaching career. Bob was happiest spending family time at their cabin on Shuswap Lake. An early retirement allowed him to enjoy his passion for travel with Karen around the world. A special thank you to Dr. Merth, Dr. Stoessl, Sonia Fones and our dear friends, Michael and Barbara Fullerton for all their kindness to Bob. He was always so appreciative for all that was done for him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church, 335 7th Street, New Westminster. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society would be greatly appreciated.
