HARRIS, Ruth Irene
A loving and spiritual lady, Ruth Irene Harris, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2012. Ruth was born in Vermillion Alberta on March 31, 1922, and spent her youth and early married life in North Vancouver. She also lived in Prince George and spent the last part of her life in North Saanich and Oak Bay. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Glen (2004) and son Stephen (1965). Ruth was the last survivor of her five brothers and sisters. Ruth was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by many including her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Gordon Wohlgemuth of North Vancouver, grandsons Tony (Elizabeth), Geoffrey (Jessica), and Stuart, great- grandchildren Ainslea, Grady and Jake, brother-in- law and sisters-in-law, Cameron and Helen Harris of Esquimalt, John Watts of Brentwood Bay, and Erna of Prince George, her many nieces, nephews, and their families, and many, many, friends. Ruth touched a great number of lives with her engaging personality and dedication to helping others. She devoted her energy and talents to the Christian Community in Sidney and Greater Victoria for many years and was an inspired teacher. She lifted the hearts of many and her contributions were endless. A special thank you to Ruth's niece, Dr. Cheryl Cuddeford for all the time, help and support given to Ruth and Paula. Thanks, also, to the Doctors and Nurses at Royal Jubilee Hospital Emergency and Fourth Floor North for their compassionate care. A Funeral Service will be held at Highway Christian Fellowship, 10364 McDonald Park Road, Sidney, B.C. on January 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
