THURSTON, Samuel Francis
September 6, 1926 - February 7, 2013
Samuel was predeceased by his wife Ruth, daughter Bonnie, and brothers Morris, Norm and Earl. He is survived by his son Bruce (Fran), sisters Grace, Hilda and Barb. Sam came from a farm in Lindsey, Ontario. He left as a young man and ventured up to the Yukon in 1948, where he stayed for 50 years and made a good life for his family. Sam was a very strong, stubborn, hardworking man with a big heart and a gentle, peaceful nature. In life he and Ruth were inseparable and now they will lay peacefully together with their daughter Bonnie. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14660-72 Ave. Surrey, BC. Donations in Sam's name, to MS Society, would be greatly appreciated.
