September 23, 1923 - December 3, 2012
David passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Kathleen, son Stuart, daughter Ann and grandchildren, Daniel and Maya. David was born in Caithness, Scotland. He served in the 207th Squadron of the British Royal Air Force from 1943 to 1946 and was awarded the Star Defense Rear medal. David immigrated to Canada in 1957 and worked in real estate in Montreal and Toronto before finally retiring to Vancouver with Kathleen to be close to his beloved grandchildren. He was an active member of the Country Meadows Golf Club and the Air Crew Association. Our family would like to thank the staff of Ward 3B and Doctor Jeanne Keegan-Henry at Burnaby General Hospital for their care and support. Although we miss him we know he is now happy, playing the perfect round of golf at St. Andrews. According to his wishes, there will be no funeral but a celebration of his life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity to support research on prostrate cancer that David worked so tirelessly for: Country Meadows Charity Golf Classic, Box 224, 185-9040 Blundell Road, Richmond, B.C., V6Y 1K3.
