Grant Tangye February 9, 1947 - December 8, 2012 "...Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed."

We are sad to announce Grant's passing, after his valiant battle with cancer.

Grant was born in Saskatoon on February 9, 1947. He graduated from Claremont Secondary School in Victoria, and carried on to study Geography and Biology from Simon Fraser University.

Grant worked at various occupations throughout BC, which included log scaling for the province, his own business, and a period teaching Computer Network Engineering. In his leisure he enjoyed his time wandering the back-country by four-wheel drive and on foot. He was also an avid enthusiast of fly-fishing and an accomplished marksman and hunter. He was passionate with any of his undertakings, and always open to sharing his interests to help and involve others that came into his circle. He will be greatly missed and remembered by all he touched.

Grant is survived by his loving wife, Wendy (Kwong); mother, Margaret; brother, Hugh; and numerous family members. Grant is preceded in death by his father, Walter.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Agnes Church, 530 12th St E, North Vancouver, Friday, December 14th at 10AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given on Grant's behalf to: Inspire Health Integrated Cancer Care, phone: 604-734-7125.
